Storytelling: A Collection of Opie's Tales
by Kimberly Small, et al.
This heartwarming collection of tales by
and about a Missouri outdoorsman and fun-loving country boy will be
released very soon!
We are excited to announce an upcoming collection of true stories of Opie Nowlin's life—a life
full of
love, laughter, and hilarious adventures reminiscent of those had by Missouri's own
Tom and Huck. The book is a tribute to a man of a dying
breed; Opie was a poor man, but he was extremely
rich in many ways.
He was a fisherman, hunter, farmer, prankster, member of an incredibly large
Mid-Missouri
family,
loving and devoted husband to Linda, "Daddy" to five children, "Paw
Paw" to ten grandchildren, an arrowhead hunter and collector, and above all, a lovable
joketeller and storyteller like no other.
When the world lost Opie, it lost a well-known and well-loved orator who lived life to the fullest in his own way—by going against the grain. Thankfully, many of Opie's unique and fun-filled stories are being preserved in this must-read collection. These stories are sure to bring a smile to your face and laughter to your heart, just as they did for so many who knew him.
